He was born in Westport, adjoining Malmesbury, England, on April 5, 1588. Thomas Hobbes says people are selfish and evil. Hobbes wrote a book called Leviathan. Because he believed that the government should be like a sea monster. Hobbes died in 1628.Added to timeline:
