Japanese Internment (feb 19, 1942 – aug 28, 1945)

Description:

Started by Executive Order 9066 after the attack on Pearl Harbor, it was the forced relocation of Japanese Americans during WW2. Around 115,000 Japanese Americans were relocated to assembly centers, which has jail like conditions. These acts faced much criticism at the time were blatant examples of racism and prejudice in the U.S at the time. By 1946, the Japanese Americans were released and the last assembly centers closed.
