Battle of Midway (jun 4, 1942 – jun 7, 1942)

Description:

In a Japanese mission to destroy the American fleet, Americans cracked Japanese codes and were able to avoid total destruction, although American ships took heavy damage in order to distract Japanese aircraft throughout the battle, making room for American forces to destroy four Japanese aircraft carriers, and down several many planes, as well as kill their skilled airmen. Important people involved in this event include Admiral Frank Fletcher and Admiral Chuicui Nagumo.
