Jim Crow Laws (jan 11, 1877 – mar 11, 1970)
Description:
Its name originating from the title of a minstrelsy show, Jim Crow laws are those that enforced racial segregation in the US south. The notion of separate but equal ruled over the US after the end of the Civil war. This led to less accessible and much lower quality education for african americans.
