Battle of Britain (jul 2, 1940 – sep 17, 1940)
Description:
In an attempt to overtake Britain, German forces bombed airfields, destroyed planes, and attempted to box in the British, only to be faced with more maneuverable aircraft, code cracking, and the capture/death of many of their pilots until Hitler ordered German troops to cease the operation. Significant figures for this event include Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Great Britain, and William King of Canada.
