Korean War (jun 25, 1950 – jul 27, 1953)

Description:

The Korean war was a war between North Korea and South Korea that started because of a border despute. The U.S. aided South Korea in retaking their side of the border after it was captured by the North. This event was important because it was a big factor in the Cold War starting. The truce of this war also possibly prevented the vast spread of communism due to the belief that communism would spread to surrounding countries. This war also led to the tension that North Korea and South Korea have today.
