Abraham Lincoln Assassination (apr 15, 1865 – apr 15, 1865)
Description:
Just 6 days after the end of the CIvil war and the Union's victory, president Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in the Ford Box Theatre by John Wilkes Booth. Wilkes was concerned that Lincoln; after his victory in the civil war, would "overthrow the constitution and destroy his beloved south". As a supporter of slavery and a confederate himself he believed that lincoln would abolish all of slavery and the south would have to follow an ani-slave rule.
