Description:
The battle of Fort Sumter marked the beginning of the CIvil War. After 11 out of 13 of the southern states seceded they created the Confederate states of america, who fought for pro Slavery and began to gather an army to prepare to fight back. P.G.T. Beauregard and his confederate forces began to set an attack on Fort Sumter, While General Robert Anderson stood guard with his men and the Union. The first mortar shot from the Confederacy marked the beginning of the Civil War, Which ended in a Confederate victory and Union Surrender with 580 forces engaged; 80 union and 500 confederate
