Aelfgar in Exile (jul 1, 1055 – dec 30, 1055)
Description:
Perhaps having learned from Godwin, Aelfgar chooses not to take his exile lying down. He goes to Ireland, gathers 18 ships and returns to Wales, where he joins forces with Gruffydd and invades England. Together, Aelfgar and Gruffydd attack Ralph of Hereford and defeat him, sacking the town.Added to timeline:
