Description:
The Stamp Act was passed by the British Parliament on March 22,1765. The Stamp Act was appointed on all American colonists. This act required them to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper they used. The money that was collected was used to help defend the American boundary near the Appalachian Mountains. The actual cost of the Stamp Act was relatively small. It was finally taken away by the British Parliament in 1766
