The Seven Years War (1h 27min, jan 1, 1756 y – 19h 55min, feb 10, 1763 y)

Description:

The Seven Years War was fought from 1756 to 1763. It was the first ever global war and it was fought in America, Europe, India and at sea. In the beginning, the French (helped by the Canadian military and Aboriginal allies) overcame several British attacks and captured a number of British forts. Both French and British opponents had Indian allies. The British allied with the Iroquois, the Catawba and for a time, the Cherokee. The French allied with the Lenepe, the Shawnee, the Ojibwa and the Algonquin peoples. The seven Years War ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. France had been forced to give up all of the North American territory that it owned. Spain gained all the land west of the Mississippi River and Britain gained all of the land east of the Mississippi River. The Seven Years War also resulted in some consequences. The war was very expensive and cost the British Government a lot of money to fight. In order to gain money, the British Government passed many taxes on the colonies. The colonies became angry and they felt that they should not be taxed unless they had representation in the British governemnt.
