Graffiti has been all over the world in different time periods. You could even say that cave paintings are a form of graffiti. Graffiti is something that you can find in practically every major city in the world. Graffiti is probably one of the longest lasting art styles. Over a 100 years ago people would spray graffiti and people still do it to this day. It could be anything from tagging to entire murals on trains. Graffiti art can also be traced back to 1920 new york. Back then graffiti was mostly done by teenagers no older than 19 years. Graffiti was a kind of way for young people to rebel because that graffiti is illegal. Because it's illegal graffiti artists would have to paint at night while still looking out for themselves so they don't get caught by the police.Added to timeline:
