Seven years' war (may 17, 1756 – jun 23, 1763)

Description:

French expansion into the Ohio River valley repeatedly brought France into armed conflict with the British colonies. The British had defeated France during the French and Indian War, and were now in possession of all of France’s large territory in North America.

The Proclamation Line
The Proclamation was issued by King George III, following Great Britain's victory in the Seven Years’ War over France. This gave a large portion of land west of the Appalachian Mountains to the indigenous north American population in order to stabilize relations and settlers were forbidden to go there.
