U.S. Drops Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki (aug 6, 1945 – aug 9, 1945)

Description:

Because Japan had no intentions of ending the war, the United States dropped an atomic bomb that was devastating to Japan. 170,000 lives were lost and as a result Japan surrendered. The event wasn't great historically. Many have questioned how ethical the act was.
