The Battle of Stalingrad happened on August 23 1942, and ended on February 2 1943. This battle was between the Soviet Union and the Nazis. The Nazis were attempting to conquer the city of Stalingrad which was located in Russia . But unfortunately Soviet Union fought back and won.
