Description:
Cause:1. support from women's suffrage in the 1800s
2. WW1 sped the enfranchisement of women in countries of Europe and U.S.
Effect:
1. Women were able to case a vote for the first time
2. Activism continued in other areas of freedom
3. full voting rights for women in every state
4. women were only allowed to vote, not enter public office
5. efforts to promote women's welfare
