lowell factory systems (dec 30, 1812 – aug 16, 1815)

Description:

factories have 4 characteristics the first is that they are all under the same roof because they are all in the same building.A second one is that it has an assembly line.the two final characteristics are that the raw materials always come in through one door and finished products always go out through another. one piece of equipment often used in these factories is the textile mills created by Samuel Slater used to create thread and cloth.like i previously mentioned the textile mills where used in the lowell factories so these factories where created by Francis Cabot Lowell to mass produce cloth
