Berlin Airlift (jun 24, 1948 – may 12, 1949)
Description:
After Stalin blockades rail, road, and water links between Berlin and the West, the U.S. responds with the Berlin Airlift. Stalin was essentially trying to starve lots of people, just because he was a little upset. The U.S. didn't let that happen, however, and had a plane taking off or landing about every 30 seconds!
