Rule of the First Queen (jan 1, 3900 BC – jan 1, 2800 BC)

Description:

Svarfina, forever ashamed and disgusted by her own creations, never again attempts to replicate Lingard’s form or even shape lesser beings.

Yet, as the millennia pass and the peoples of Ár multiply, her eye turns to the humans of the middlelands, dwellers of the white-sand desert below the Lumen’s most radiant glow. The dark-skinned men, regarded by nearly all the gods as destined to die in such an austere environment, have thrived since their awakening, proving to be far more adaptable and smart than the gods thought, and now begin to show signs of a nascent civilization, with populations gathered in large roving hosts under the guidance of a leader figure.

This hierarchy that men have formed intrigues Svarfina, who sees such beings equally as lesser as her own creations. Perhaps the Vourenkinn could learn to be rule, and to serve.

Thus she flocks to the southeastern reaches of Ár where her children for millennia have struggled, and atop the tallest peak in the mountains dividing the land from the rest of the continent she erects a mighty palace to inhabit: The Hold of Svarfinvir (The Hold of Godhome); a name not spoken until much later, after Lingard teaches the Vourenkinn the concept of language.

For one thousand cycles Svarfina commands thousands if not millions of Vourenkinn to do her bidding, be it worship her divinity or satisfy her entertainment, usually by having them fight amid themselves until none or few stood.

To the First Queen, her children are nothing but playthings to do away with as she sees fit. With a booming call she summons them in no regular intervals of time to climb the mountains of Ár to reach her hold, and there she abuses them utterly, satisfying her lingering jealousy for Lingard.

Only when the First Being learns of this ill treatment does the situation begin to change, for he begins to make his journey towards Vourenkinn lands to free such peoples of the First Queen’s tyranny.
