Description:
Thomas Jefferson served 2 terms (1801-1809) as the third president of the United States of America. Important events that happened during his term was the U.S purchase of the Louisiana Territory and Lewis and Clark explored the vast new acquisition. Jefferson thought the national government should have a limited role in citizens’ lives, yet he was elected and served as president in 1800.
