Description:
In 1973 an Islamic fundamentalist by the name of Ayatollah Khomeini overthrew the Shaw. The Shaw had been using the countries wealth to benefit him personally. Khomeini then established a traditional government based upon the Koran and helped revert Iran to a traditional Islamic State.Added to timeline:
