Scientific Revolution (jan 1, 1542 – jan 1, 1700)
Description:
The scientific revolution was from 1542 to 1700, a period in which new ways of studying and looking at the universe were developed. Mathematics was applied to the natural world, and old authorities were being challenged with facts. Before the scientific revolution, religion was used as an answer and justification for most things. The revolution consisted of people who challenged the current preconceived notions. During the scientific revolution, science and education led to answers and conclusions based on facts, not necessarily religion, thus differing from the Renaissance.
