Description:

The Battle of Guilford Courthouse was an important battle in the Revolutionary War. Although the British won the battle and forced the Americans to retreat, they lost so many soldiers that the battle eventually led to their defeat in the war. Why it was significant - There were a heavy number of casualties in the Continental Army and the Americans were forced to retreat.
