Description:
Thomas Jefferson was an American statesman, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. 1775-1783 Jefferson was in the Virginia legislature and governor of Virginia at the continental congress. Jefferson was elected in 1800 for the presidency. Jefferson promoted individual liberty, even though this was his belief he was a slave owner.
