30's et 40's: In 1935 Benny Goodman and his band won "Let's dance" a radio show, he spread swing music. Big band swing music became very popular in the united states. Swing music is a form of the jazz, its danceable style was very appreciated (to swing= "se balancer"). However, bands were multiracial, black musicians were not allowed in some hotels...Added to timeline:
