Description:
Over the course of a year, after the establishment of the First French Republic, many lives were taken by the guillotine all over France. Executions reached an all time high, and people seemed to just want more blood. This reign ended however, with the fall of Robespierre, who met the same end that all his opponents did, with his head in a basket.
