Bolshevik revolution (mar 8, 1917 – nov 7, 1917)
Description:
Russia was fighting in WWI and was spending money fast, this meant there was a constant lack of food, money, and supplies this lead to resentment towards the government in an already heated political climate. Not only was the government failing to provide but the Tzar had taken on the military himself in an attempt to raise moral and keep control, this backfired however because he was then blamed for all losses that the military had suffered. This hostile climate was perfect for revolution and Lenin, leader of the Bolsheviks decided to do just that. With the support of the army and civilians alike they took over the government and killed the tzar.
