4. Peak of Mongol Rule (1279)- Largest Empire at the time. Mainly Islam, but religiously tolerant

5. Ottoman Empire (1299-1923)- Large Military power. Ruled as islamic but could pay a tax to practice a different religion

6. Mansa Musa's pilgrimage (1324)- a islamic religious journey

7. Black Death in Europe (1347-1388)- Killed upwards of 200 million europeans

8. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)- return to old customs. Exam system

9. Aztec Empire (1428-1531)- Modern Day Mexico. Advanced Economy, Trade and government

10. Inca Empire (1438-1533)- South American Empire. Advanced agriculture (Terrace farming)
