The Korean War (aug 1, 1950 – mar 1, 1953)
Description:
(Term 2) A war between communist North Korea and capitalist South Korea with the U.S. as their ally. The U.S. helped South Korea in order to eliminate communism from Korea completely. The war ended in a peaceful agreement to remain neighbors with different beliefs and ideologies.1. Established peace between North and South Korea, which allowed the people in South Korea to regain freedom of religion and speech.
2. Because South Korea was able to keep their land and laws, it is now possible for missionaries to server there.
3. It built up the confidence of South Korea, because they were able to hold there ground and receive help from allies such as the United States.
