Fredrick Douglass (mar 28, 1841 – jan 1, 1847)

Description:

Leading abolitionist, who wanted to end slavery. He was taught to read by his owner's wife. He escaped to freedom in the North. Learns about an abolitionist named; William Lloyd Garrison, so he knew how to give a speech about ending slavery. Published his own personal narrative/novel: the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave.
