T. Roosevelt Presidency (sep 14, 1901 – mar 4, 1909)
Description:
Before becoming president, Teddy Roosevelt formed the Rough Riders and led them in the charge up San Juan Hill in Cuba during the Spanish American War. In 1900, he became Vice President to Mckinley and in 19001, when Mckinley was assassinated, Theodore Roosevelt became president. As president, he worked to improve the lives of the standard Americans and broke up many monopolies and trusts. His most famous saying “speak softly and carry a big stick” was said in regards to America protecting all countries in the Western Hemisphere. He also created the FDA and the Panama Canal.
