Description:
Andrew Jackson first lost the president election in 1824 against John Quincy Adams, but four years later in the election Jackson won and became president of The United States. At this time the two modern political parties was formed. Jackson was a democrat that wanted to gain the common man’s power and create a society with equality among all people. He gave jobs to a lot of friends and supporters. This belief became to be known as Jacksonian Democracy.
