Description:
Alexander I, the Russian czar who was France's ally wouldn't stop selling gain to England, also both France and Russia were competing for Poland. Napoleon lost his trust and decided to invade Russia. Alexander retreated with his troops and the French used the scorched-earth policy where they burned grain fields and killed livestock so that the Russians wouldn't have any food.
