How Long the Edict of Nantes was In Place (apr 13, 1598 – oct 18, 1685)
Description:
The Edict of Nantes was an agreement set in stone by Henry IV after Bartholomew Day Massacre. IT allowed protestants to have more freedom within the placed they could worship, and let them rule in the 200 cities where they were the majority. This created peace in France which in turn, centralized the country. It was in place for87 years before getting revoked by Louis XIV.
