Queen Victoria (may 24, 1819 – jan 22, 1901)

Description:

Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death. Parliament voted her the additional title of Empress of India in 1876. Known as the Victorian era, her reign of 63 years and seven months was longer than that of any of her predecessors. Queen Victoria was the matriarch of the British Empire. She epitomised the values of the era and carved out a new role for the monarchy. During her 63-year reign, a length surpassed only by our current Queen, Victoria presided over the social and industrial transformation of Britain, as well as expansion of the empire.
