Panama Canal construction (jan 1, 1903 – jan 1, 1914)
Description:
Beginning construtcion during Roosevelt's time in office, the Panama Canal connected the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. This made sea travel incredibly more efficient as boats no longer had to go around the southern tip of Argentina in order to go between the American coasts.
