The 30 Years' War (jan 1, 1618 – jan 1, 1648)

Description:

The 30 Years' War was a war in Europe. It killed almost 8 million people. People mostly died from sickness and illnesses. It started in 1618 and ended in 1648, it was one of the longest war's in history. The War was fought in four phases.
Phase 1. The Defenstration of Prague leads to Bohemian Revolt: German Palatinate and Bohemia (Protestants) vs. Habsburgs and Spain and allies (Catholics). The Dutch come in against the Habsburgs. France comes in on the side of the Habsburgs for a short time.
Phase 2. The Danes come in against the Habsburgs.
Phase 3. The Swedes come in against the Habsburgs.
Phase 4. The French come in against the Habsburgs and declare victory resulting in the Treaty of Westphalia.
