Francisco Pizarro (mar 16, 1478 – jun 26, 1541)

Description:

 Francesco Pizarro was born into a poor family in Trujillo Spain. His birthday was March 16, 1478. He was a Spanish conquistador who conquered the Inca Empire. He executed Atahualpa, the Incan leader, and conquered the Incas. He led expeditions to Peru, and served in another expedition that led to the discovery of the Pacific Ocean. He killed his rival: Almagro, and was later killed for revenge by armed supporters of Almagro. Throughout his life he participated in wars. He went on many explorations in his lifetime including sailing to Panama with four of his brothers. He conquered Peru in 1532 when he and his small army overcame the Incas. He then founded the city of Lima and built a palace there. He died on June 26th 1541, when his palace was attacked by another conquistador.
