Description:
- Commanded by Dwight D. Eisenhower
- Called for the invasion of Morocco and Algeria
- The Allied invasion in North Africa which was intended to relieve pressure placed on the Soviets and it resulted in an Allied victory gaining control of North Africa
- The campaign made a significant contribution to the war effort and allowed the Allies to move further into Southern Europe
