John Brown's Raid (oct 16, 1859 – oct 18, 1859)

Description:

John Brown was a abolitionist. He led a small group of 50 men in a raid agianst an arsenal in Virginia. The aim was to get enough ammuniation to lead a large operation against Virginia’s slaveholders. Because of John Browns violence action, did he convince a lot slave owners to destroy the "peculiar institution" which is the practising of keeping slaves. It was a upbeat to the civil war.
