Description:
American track-and-field athlete.
He won 4 gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, an Olympic that was attended by Adolf Hitler.
He won a gold medal in the long jump, the 100- and 200-metre dashes, and the 4 x 100-metre relay.
He became the first track-and-field athlete to win 4 gold medals at a single Olympic Games
He became a hero in both Germany and the US, not only for his athletic abilities, but also for his grace and his ability to compete with the Nazi party.
