1. American civil rights activist2. She was the first African-American child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans school desegregation crisis on 14 November 1960. (She was one of the first blacks to go to an all-white school.)
3. She passed a very hard test to get into the William Frantz Elementary School
4. She was guarded by 4 policemen
