Chris Hadfield is considered to be one of Canada's most remarkable astronaut. His astronaut career officially started on June 11, 1992. During his 11 years of being an astronaut, Chris Hadfield accomplished awe-inspiring things. His biggest accomplishment is arguably the fact that he was the first Canadian to be a space mission specialist on April 2001. Other major accomplishments includes operating the Canadarm in orbit, do a spacewalk and commanding the ISS (International Space Station). After his 11 years as one of Canada's most recognizable astronauts, Chris Hadfield retired on July 3rd, 2003. With retirement, Chris Hadfield took up a teaching post at University of Waterloo for 3 years.
