Description:
While in Strasbourg, Calvin married Idelette de Bure who was the widow of a man that Calvin had converted from Anabaptism. She had two children from her previous marriage and would give birth to Calvin's three children. None of the three children made it past their childhood years. However, the marriage between Calvin and de Bure is said to have been extremely warm. Sadly, de Bure died nine years after their marriage.Added to timeline:
