Women: hair worn up, veils, circlets (necklace but around head), turbans, palla (shawl wrapped around body, and covered upper part of skirt, the bodice, and either one or both shoulders)
General garments: tunic, dalmatic (wide-long sleeved tunic), paludamentum (cloak fastened w/ brooch on right shoulder) (for upperclassmen and the empress, cloaks.
Embellishments: clavi (stripes on tunic), borders, segment (rectangle or stars on tunic), tablions (rectangular panel ornamented with embroidery or jewels), embroidery, appliqué
