Trail of Tears (may 28, 1830 – feb 18, 1838)
Description:
The forced marches of the many Native American tribes from their ancestral homelands in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida to the Oklahoma Territory.
The more modern interpretation references the march of the Cherokee from Georgia to Oklahoma in which they were forced to walk through the winter with little to no food or other necessary supplies. 15,000 died during this march.
