Nicolaus Copernicus (feb 19, 1473 – may 24, 1543)

Description:

Nicolaus Copernicus was a mathematician and an astronomer who proposed that the earth orbited the sun, also known as Heliocentrism and developed something called the Copernicus model. However this wasn't largely accepted and the Church even classified it as heresy. He was threatened to be burned at the stale in which to his response, said he was joking.
