Description:
From 1870-1871, the Franco-Prussian War was fought to draw western German states into the North German Confederation. With the French defeat in 1871, the German Empire was proclaimed in the Palace at Versailles, France. The German Kaiser, who was also the King of Prussia, now decided foreign policy of the German Empire.
