Girolamo Savonarola was an Italian preacher. he was also a reformer, and martyr, renowned for his clash with tyrannical rulers and a corrupt clergy. He wanted people to believe and focus on god. Along with believing you give all your time and money to god to go to heaven.
Girolamo Savonarola was the leader of Florence after the overthrow of Medici, Savonarola set up a democratic republican Florence. He had some enemies like the Duke of Milan and Pope Alexander VI. They did not like him and had many restraints against him. All of the restraints against him were ignored.
