Description:
The Age of Exploration was a period of great feats and discovery. It began with the Portuguese systematically exploring the Atlantic Ocean, under the direction of Prince Henry the Navigator. Other countries soon followed suit and set sail to discover new lands. Among the most notable events from this age, are the discovery of the Americas, by Christopher Columbus, and Vasco da Gama, the first European to successfully get to India by sea.Added to timeline:
